Buyer's Journey

What is the Buyer's Journey?

Contained inside of the Lead/Contact Card, the Buyer's Journey allows you to view the entire lifecycle of a prospect marketing activity. By saving each interaction from email click to event attended across time, this chronological journey can reveal quickly the quality and overall interest of the lead or contact so you can take can take action immediately.

Below is a list of activities you may see for a specific contact. 

  • Web hit - Shows the number of pages hit and the timestamps of the visit duration. The number of pages will be clickable and if you expand, it will show you the details of the URLs of all of the pages hit, and the timestamp of when each page was hit.
  • Mail Sent - Shows the subject line of the email sent.  User will be able to click on the name of the email and pull up a pop-up to view the HTML of the email, the From, To, and the Campaign Name.
  • Mail Opened - Shows the number of times a contact opened the email and the subject line of the email sent.  User will be able to click on the name of the email and pull up a pop-up to view the HTML of the email, the From, To, and the Campaign Name.
  • Mail Clicked - The number of links clicked and the subject line of the email. User will be able to click on the name of the email and pull up a pop-up to view the HTML of the email, the From, To, and the Campaign Name.  User will also be able to click on the words “Email Clicked” to see the specific links the contact clicked on.
  • Unsubscribe - Will show the subject line of the email the contact opted out from. User will be able to click on the name of the email and pull up a pop-up to view the HTML of the email, the From, To, and the Campaign Name.
  • Landing Page Completed - Includes the name of the hosted landing page completed.  Drilling in will allow you to see the questions and answers for that form
  • Event Registration - Includes the name of the event they registered for.  If there is a registration landing page, allow to drill in and see the questions.
  • Event Attended - Will show the name of the event they attended
  • Tracked Link Click - shows the shortened URL that was clicked (previously called Itty Bitty and landing page redirects).  User will be able to click on the URL which will redirect them to the link’s location in another tab in their browser.
  • Social Campaign Click - users with the Oktopost add-on can see when their lead or contact has clicked on a social campaign inside the Buyer's Journey. With easy to recognize icons displaying the social channel, campaign and post the lead/contact has clicked on, users can now better understand other campaign types that may influence the buyer. 

To see a more holistic view of activity over time, you can toggle to the ‘Totals’ tab to see a chart view of activity during a period of 30, 60, or 90 days.
